Held annually on April 11, the day celebrates the impact of craft beer on New York’s economy, culture, agriculture, and tourism, while giving beer lovers a reason to explore local breweries, discover new favorites, and support the businesses that make New York a top craft beer destination.

About the Artist: Kaylin Schafer is a Rochester-based artist and the creator behind Sad Scribbles. She’s spent 14 years in the craft beer industry while simultaneously working on her art career. Her playful work is inspired by everyday life, her love for all things spooky, and most importantly her three dogs, Randall, Rupert & Jameson. Watercolor and ink is her medium of choice but hand her some cardboard and she’ll build a sculpture with it. If she’s not at a market selling her pet portraits, you can find her behind the bar at Swiftwater Brewing or planning the following year’s Halloween costumes.
